1. Directions by shuttle service from ATATÜRK AIRPORT

There are “Havataş Airport shuttles” leaving Ataturk Airport for Taksim Square -that is just 2 km from our hotel- every 30 minutes between 04:00 and 01:00. So, you may take this “Havataş Airport shuttle” and get off at the last stop, which is Talimhane in Taksim. From there, you could either cross the street and take the subway (M2 line) from Taksim to Şişhane or take a taxi.

If you choose metro at Taksim, you need to ride just one stop. Once you get off the train at Şişhane, follow the Kasımpaşa- Şişhane signs, and then take the Şişhane exit. From there on, you will have to walk just about 250 m. to your hotel. When you’re up the ground level, just u- turn, go straight on passing by the Youth Centre (Beyoğlu Gençlik Merkezi) and take the first left when you see the Şişhane Peace Monument. You will then pass by the coffee shop (Kahve Dünyası) and through the barrier of the multi-storey car park (Kuledibi Katlı Otopark). Hotel Bağdatlıyan is just opposite the other end of the car park and on the First Belediye Street. You can’t miss it.

Actually, if you have three or more people in your group, a taxi may be more convenient way from Talimhane to your hotel in Galata. Just make sure taxi you take from “Talimhane Taksi stop” follows the route: Abdülhak Hamit Caddesi – Dolapdere Taksim Caddesi – Tarlabaşı Bulvarı - Meşrutiyet Caddesi – İlk Belediye Street.

(Depending upon traffic, the Airport - Taksim shuttle trip takes between 45 - 60 minutes, and costs TL 11 per person, one-way, payable on the bus in cash. And the taxi from Talimhane to your hotel takes 10 -12 minutes and costs around 10 TL)

2. Directions by taxi through highway from ATATÜRK AIRPORT

The distance between Ataturk Airport and our hotel in Galata is about 18-20 km. So, if you grab a taxi all the way, it should take 40- 70 minutes, depending upon the weight of traffic and it should cost you about 45-50 TL. Basically, there are 2 ways to get to Galata: One is taking D100 highway and crossing the Golden Horn via Haliç Bridge and leaving the Ring Road (Çevre Yolu) towards Piyalepaşa Bulvarı. Then you follow Fişekhane Deresi Caddesi – Turabi Baba Caddesi – Refik Saydam Caddesi – Sadi Konuralp Caddesi - Meşrutiyet Caddesi – İlk Belediye Street.

The other way is following the Marmara coastline (Kennedy Street) as far as Yenikapı and crossing the Golden Horn towards Galata via Atatürk (Unkapanı) Bridge. Once you cross the bridge, you follow Yolcuzade İskender Caddesi - Meşrutiyet Caddesi – İlk Belediye Street.

3. Directions by subway from ATATÜRK AIRPORT

If you do not have lots of luggage, it is convenient and inexpensive (but a little slower) way of reaching your hotel.

You can board a metro train (M1A) right beneath the Ataturk Airport and ride to Yenikapı terminal where you can transfer to M2 line (Yenikapı –Hacıosman) for the ride to Şişhane metro stop. It’s just 3 stops. Once you get off the train at Şişhane, follow the Kasımpaşa- Şişhane signs, and then take the Şişhane exit. From there on, you will have to walk just about 250 m. to your hotel. So, you may take this “Havataş Airport shuttle” and get off at the last stop, which is Talimhane in Taksim. 5. Directions by taxi through highway from SABIHA GÖKÇEN AİRPORT

The distance between Sabiha Gökçen Airport and our hotel in Galata is about 48 -58 km depending on the route taken. So, if you grab a taxi all the way, it should take 50- 90 minutes, depending upon the weight of traffic and it should cost you about 100-120 TL. Basically, there are 2 ways to get to Galata:

One is taking E80 highway and crossing the Bosphprus via Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge and taking the Hasdal - Okmeydanı Junction towards Piyale Paşa Bulvarı. Then you follow Fişekhane Deresi Caddesi – Turabi Baba Caddesi – Refik Saydam Caddesi – Sadi Konuralp Caddesi - Meşrutiyet Caddesi – Şah Değirmeni Caddesi – İlk Belediye Sokak.

The other way is leaving E80 highway for Çamlıca Junction and crossing the Bosphprus via Atatürk Bridge. You need to keep D100 freeway until you take the Dolapdere exit to continue onto Piyale Paşa Bulvarı. Then you follow Fişekhane Deresi Caddesi – Turabi Baba Caddesi – Refik Saydam Caddesi – Sadi Konuralp Caddesi - Meşrutiyet Caddesi – Şah Değirmeni Caddesi – İlk Belediye Sokak.

The latter is shorter (48 km) but usually take longer in time.

6. Do you have transfer service from and to airport?

Yes, as Meroddi Hotels we do have private transfers by multi-purpose vehicles.

From/to Atatürk Airport by Mercedes Vito (1-4 people) is 40 Euro for one way. 70 Euro for round trip.

From/to Atatürk Airport by Mercedes Sprinter (5-9 people) is 55 Euro for one way. 100 Euro for round trip.

From/to Sabiha Gökçen Airport by Mercedes Vito (1-4 people) is 70 Euro for one way. 130 Euro for round trip.

From/to Sabiha Gökçen Airport by Mercedes Sprinter (5-9 people) is 85 Euro for one way. 160 Euro for round trip.
